1) Does the novel have social realism? If yes, illustrate. If no, what did you expect as social realism which is absent here.  In the Novel , Human relations , love , sex , marriage and sociable characters all represent reality of society. Anxiety and reflection of rising Indian middle class , question about career , marriage , family conflicts and relationships aspirations and problem of young generation all represents social reality.  Shyam , Priyanka , Esha and their love , Radhika married , her mother-in-law , military uncle his love for grandsons all things presents social realism.  2) What sort of effect of Globalization is found in on@tcc?  There are so many scenes which shows the effects of globalization.  From the starting we find that it has a positive as well as negative effects on life.  If we see the names of character,  Shyam turns into Sam,  Varun turns into Victor and etc.  We find cultural homogenization of worker...

The Sense of an Ending

Image
How do you understand memory and history with reference to your reading of this novel.   The novel speakes of the memory and history which has different parameters. The novel constructes aspects about the memory. We keep our memories but we can not rely on that. We constructes our memories through our perspective. Memory records about what happened, perhaps it is not recorded as it is. The first part is about 'imperfection of memory'. As Adrian refers "History is that certainty produced at the point where the imperfections of memory meet the inadequacies of documentations." We can say great history to personal memory. Inadequacies of documents can't makes the certain history. As in the novel Tony remembers imperfect memory in which he can not thinks of his deeds. History and memory both are very much connected because history is the part of our memories.  Tony’s own tale of his student days is quite unreliable.   How do you unders...

Brown states on his website that his books are not anti-Christian, though he is on a 'constant spiritual journey' himself, and says that his book The Da Vinci Code is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used "as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith." Dan Brown asserts that his books are not anti-Christian, and it is right also because he wants to reveal the facts. He also says that he is on the spiritual journey as he portrays the characters who have faith in the religion. Through the murder mystery he unfolds the factual things about the Christianity. The painting of Leonardo Da Vinci, The Last Supper, which tells about the relation between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Seemingly it is an entertaining story murder mystery, the puzzle, paintings of Da Vinci. As a part of spiritual discussion Dan Brown attempts to raise the issue of blind fai...
